For those joining us next Friday the 2nd March for the World's Longest Lunch here are all the facts, and then some, logistically speaking that is....
- Registration is at the main entrance to the Kyneton Botanic Gardens on the corner or Mollison and Clowes Streets.
- Registration will commence from 11.45.
- Lunch service will be completed by 4.00 pm.
- The Longest Lunch Long table is in a quiet corner of the gardens, a lovely stroll of approximately 500 metres from the main entrance - we suggest you wear comfortable shoes to allow you to enjoy your wander through the Botanic Gardens. Please let us know if you have any mobility challenges and we can arrange for you to reach the table by other means.
- Remember! This is an outside event – please be prepared for changing weather - don't forget to bring a jacket and perhaps a hat (the table is in the shade, but you might like to explore a little between courses).
- In the event of bad weather, we will post a message here by 7 am on Friday 2nd March if there is to be a change of venue. If we do need to move inside volunteers will be at the Botanic Gardens to direct you to the new venue and transfers will be organised from Kyneton Station for our Vline guests
- Your chefs - Monsieur Pierre and Mr. Carsisi will prepare a delicious 4 course lunch starring provincial Victorian produce matched with wines from local Macedon Ranges' vignerons. We encourage you to consider staying on in our region to explore and visit our wonderful local wineries and producers. For tourism and accommodation information, see www.visitmacedonranges.com/ or ring the Kyneton Visitors Information Centre on 5422 6110.
- If you are driving, please note McKenna Memorial Drive (the lower road through the Gardens) will be closed on the day – please park in Clowes Street and surrounds.
